A reward the recipient actually picks

Sitecore's MVP program recognizes the experts who lead its community: the people answering forum questions, speaking at meetups, and pushing the platform further. A title like that deserves better than a one-size-fits-all box, so Sitecore's reward works differently. Every MVP gets a gift card and spends it themselves, on branded swag they actually want.

The mechanics are simple on Sitecore's side, which is the point. They send us the list of recipients. We configure a gift card for each name on the reward store, MVPs claim their reward, shop the catalogue, and check out. Everything after that click is ours: the order, the packing, and the shipping.

The wrinkle is geography. About 250 MVPs earn the title each year, and they live wherever the community lives, which means parcels shipping to 26 countries from our facility in Kemptville, Ontario.

What we handle

  • A gift card configured for every name on Sitecore's recipient list
  • The branded reward store where MVPs claim and spend their reward
  • Sourcing and decorating the merchandise catalogue behind it
  • Every order picked, packed, and shipped, to 26 countries and counting

Why 26 countries is the hard part

A domestic parcel is routine. An international one carries customs declarations, duties, carrier handoffs, and address formats that look nothing like a Canadian address. Multiply that by every country an MVP calls home and the shipping becomes the program's real logistics problem, which is exactly the part Sitecore never has to think about.

The gift card model helps here too. When recipients pick their own items and sizes, nobody in another hemisphere is guessing what fits. The reward lands once, correctly, instead of bouncing through exchanges.

This is our third year running the program, and the fourth is already booked. In a program that touches 250 of Sitecore's most visible community members, getting invited back is the review that matters.

Recognizing a community, not just a workforce?

MVPs, ambassadors, partners, resellers: if your program needs rewards claimed by name and delivered worldwide, that is a store we already know how to run.
